Ok, Ok, I get that this whole scism origninates with the death of Mo HAM ed and wh should succeede him. His son-in-law Ali, or his "companion" Abu bakar.

The sunni's are all about Abu Bakar, while the Shias like Ali. So which is proper?

I have no clue and frankly, coudn't care less. What goes on in the internal strugges of Islam is there bussiness and as such are best left for them to decide. What I care about is how they got from this, to hating americans so much.

Its the Shia who seem to hate US. But it is the Sunni's who originate Wahhabism (or Salafism as it is so labeled).

So Iran is mostly Shia, While the bad guys (or more violent) in Iraq are mostly Sunnis.

Go figure.

The bottem line is that, in this shrinking world, the rifts of Islam are becoming common knowledge. And if you ask me, Muslims are a bit imbaressed by their inability to reconsile their differences.

So what happenens next? Well they either figure it all out, or one lives and one goes the way of the Cathers. Either way, they would have been better served by not dragging the US into it.
