UFO Crash in Central Iran

An Unidentified Flying Object crashed in Barez Mounts in the central province of Kerman Wednesday morning. Deputy Governor General of Kerman province Abulghassem Nasrollahi told that the crash which was followed by an explosion and a thick spiral of smoke.

He further denied earlier reports that the explosion has been the result of a plane or chopper crash, reminding that all the passing aircrafts have been reported as sound and safe.

The official further stated that investigations are underway by police and other relevant authorities in this regard.

While other reports spoke of meteors, Nasrollahi said there were no conclusive witnesses in this regard but he did not dismiss the possibility that the crash has been caused by a meteor.

Eye-witnesses assure that the explosion has been caused as a result of the crash of a radiant unidentified flying object onto the ground.

Meantime, an informed source told that the object has been on fire and there has been thick smoke coming out of it prior to the crash, concluding that the object couldn't have been a meteor as meteors do not smoke.

yeah, right...

and to think the story quickly disappared from Rueters.

Something a little more plauseable?

Iran is planning to execute seven Arabs sentenced to death after a secret summary trial, this according to three United Nations human rights investigators.

The families of the seven men from Ahvaz, the capital of oil-rich Khuzestan province (south-west Iran), were told earlier this week that the executions would occur “in the next few days”. Seething with resentment over high levels of unemployment, Khuzestan is home of anti-government movement.

The suspects were also accused of training in Iraq by US, British and Israeli officials, said Philip Alston, the UN Human Rights Council's expert on summary executions.

Contacted by the Associated Press an official at Iran's mission to the UN in Geneva said he could not immediately comment. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has blamed “the occupiers of Iraq” for supporting the them.

The investigators conceded that those awaiting execution were accused of serious crimes but said such suspicions “cannot justify their conviction and execution after trials that made a mockery of due process requirements.”

The human rights experts said lawyers were not allowed to see the defendants before the trial and faced charges of “threatening national security” when attempting to defend their clients.

Reportedly, convictions were based on confessions extorted under torture, they said.

Arabs represent less than three per cent of Iran’s population but most live in oil-rich but economically depressed Khuzestan province.

The area is well-known for its anti-government sentiments. Since 2005 it has seen unremitting demonstrations against the mullahs’ regime.

So Iran has its on trouble with detractors and there was several coincidental explosions in the same area. Maybe the aliens are against the Iranians also?

Strong allies, no?

I wonder what the strong explosion loked like?

Seriously, could it be that Iran is having an uprising? and that they felt the only way tp deal with it was to drop a couple or four bombs on those responsibile for for it, and then deny the whole thing took place by blaming it on a ufo?

Not for nothing but if a UFO crashed in this coutry there would be follow up stories about recovering the trmains and scouring the crash site. I'm betting there is no follow up like that here.
