Massachusetts Watch

Ok so the New Mass Legislation waited a whole two days after the election to subjegate the will of the people. Through their action they've basiclly said, "Your voice is meaningless so long as we are in power." It dosen't matter much that they cried and vied for our votes, Now that they have them, They have told us to shut up and they will do what they want. Pure socialism.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s as kids we were always taught to hate the nasty communists of Russia becouse they made the people do what THEY wanted and not whatever the poeple themselves wanted to do. I remember thinking that those evil warmongers would just take people off the street and FORCE them to play hockey or be a ballerina. Of course it was much worse than that, I remember having pointed out to me. Think of the workers in the mines. Or the army with all its conscripts. In my 14 year old mind it was the worst thing anybody could ever do to subjagate a people. And I hated the Russians for it.

Of course as we grow older we learn. and the USSR fell into ruin after the cold war. Well Ruin for the socialists.

Over time we have learned that socialism means: Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy. Bassiclly that the government will decide what is good for the poeple and the people have no say.

So how does that relate to Massachusettes? Recently The SJC "Supreme Judicial Court" Made a decision which affects every living soal in the country let alone Massachuettes. They gave the state congress a certin amount of time to re-write a law that provides certin rights for a certin minority. They have balked ever since. A petition was created with over 178,000 signatutres calling for congress to send the matter to the citizin voters of the state on the 2008 ballot. But instead of doing their jobs. the jobs which we elected them to do, they ave choosen to let the issue die an ignominious death.

This put the Minority supporters in a gleeful cheer as it means the SJC decision will stand without ever having been decided upon. In the end its what they want. But they haven't realised that in getting their way, They have held hostage the very rule of law on which this country was founded. without these laws we are not a people, a country. we are just transients. Homeless and without purpose. The govenment can and will decided what is best for us and our voice is meaningless. And if that is not the definition of socialism, than you haven't been reading.

In a stunning turn of events, The Old democratic controlled congress, Drunk that they will be the new Democratic controlled congress, OKed another hike in T-fares. So in a week, we've seen our rights deminished and our "Taxes" go up. Whats next? stay tuned.
